Zubi use PLM to simplify food labelling
The Company Zubi Limited is the brainchild of Cathy McArdle, a highly-experienced food technologist working as a consultant to the food industry, and Jim Culberson, the business owner of a successful engineering and IT company in Auckland, New Zealand. They are a New Zealand owned business that have designed a successful food labelling system, allowing complex labelling information to be calculated with ease. Learn more about the company at www.zubi.co.nz.
The Challenge For those in the food industry who need to calculate technical food labeling information, there’s always been demand for a solution that is:
Zubi wanted to meet these demands of the many food technologists, food marketers and food business owners/managers who struggle with multiple systems that often provide inaccurate and inconsistent results.
The Solution Zubi launched as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution based on Aras Innovator. The model-driven approach of the Innovator has simplified the definition and configuration of Zubi’s business model and logic. The lifecycle of each module (ingredients, formulations, and finished products) and team permissions are easily managed, eliminating the need for users to rely on multiple systems or to write additional modules with complex codes. Zubi also utilizes the Aras IOM framework to produce a customized web interface on top of Aras Innovator's base application, providing a user-friendly way for its customers to interact with the solution through the web. Their solution is deployed in the cloud and accessible through any web browser. The Result The combined experience and skills of Matrix and McFoodies resulted in Zubi successfully launching in April 2013. Zubi Limited serves many different companies across Australia and New Zealand and is rapidly growing. Our customers tell us they love Zubi because it makes food labelling a breeze. They can create food labels in a fraction of the time it used to take; they know the results are always correct and they never have to worry later that they forget to declare an allergen.
